Community Benefit across the UK
How does it work and what are the opportunities?
What is Community Benefit?
Communities across the country are investing in local priorities and opportunities through community benefit provided by onshore wind farms - funding services, projects and improvements that they want to see in their local area.
How does it work?
Community benefit funding is provided for all of our onshore wind farms as a form of long term direct benefit to communities hosting projects. The funding is available for the lifetime of the wind farm and is tailored to the needs and priorities of local communities.

Flexible funding options
As well as the long term nature of the funding, the flexibility of the funding offers opportunities to explore a broad range of options tailored to their needs. Grants, loans, multi year funding, asset purchase and thematic funding are just some of the ways communities have progressed their community benefit funding.
