Ray Wind Farm
Operating since 2017, Ray Wind Farm is an onshore project located on the Ray Estate in Northumberland.
This 16 turbine wind farm produces enough electricity annually to meet the needs of around 30,000 homes*. In 2023, a battery system was added to the site, which helps balance supply and demand on the local grid, contributing to a more stable electrcity supply to homes and businesses.
The wind farm is operated by a team of local specialists, who maintain the turbines year round, supported by around 250 suppliers from the North East.
