Glenmarkie Wind Farm Proposal
Vattenfall is in the early stages of exploring a potential wind farm proposal at Glenmarkie in the Scottish Highlands.
The site lies approximately 16km east of the village of Fort Augustus and 8km south-east from the settlement of Whitebridge.
In September 2025 we submitted a Scoping Report to the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit (ECU) and other key consultees seeking feedback on the proposed scope of environmental site survey work which will help inform the design. A copy of the Scoping Report can be found below.
Scoping Report
The process of Scoping enables early engagement with the planning authority and stakeholders to agree on the relevant environmental issues and assessment methods, ensuring that locally informed perspectives are captured from the outset.
