Supply Chain and Skills

Engagement and strategic collaboration are key to gearing up for the varied and diverse opportunities ahead.

There are companies of all sizes and backgrounds working in the wind industry, supporting thousands of skilled jobs across the UK.

Onshore wind supply chain opportunities

We are committed to working with local businesses to increase their access to opportunities within the wind energy supply chain.

Our wind supplier databases provide us with a means of connecting local suppliers, SMEs and businesses with strong community links to our key delivery partners and their sub-contractors.

They also provide Vattenfall project teams with an in-house procurement resource which helps us to identify opportunities to spend locally.

Our Armed Forces Pledge

Vattenfall UK is a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and holds a silver award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). 6% of our workforce in the UK already comes from an armed forces background and some share their stories in these case studies.
