Clashindarroch Wind Farm

Clashindarroch is an 18 turbine onshore wind farm in Aberdeenshire.

About the wind farm

Clashindarroch is an 18-turbine wind farm in Aberdeenshire, and 2025 marks its 10-year anniversary. Over the past decade, the wind farm has generated renewable electricity and supported local communities through its community benefit fund.

We work closely with local communities to understand priorities and develop projects intended to benefit residents now and in the future.

Supporting the Community, 10 years, 10 stories

Since the wind farm began operating, more than £2 million has been invested through the Clashindarroch Community Fund, with over 180 grants awarded to local groups.

From the regeneration of Glass Hall to the transformation of No. 30 Huntly, from youth development programmes to biodiversity projects, the fund has supported initiatives across Huntly, Strathbogie, Cabrach and Tap O’Noth.

As part of our 10 Years, 10 Stories campaign, we are highlighting the people and projects supported through the fund and our continued commitment to community engagement.

Any group or organisation in the local area can apply to the Clashindarroch Wind Farm Fund, which is run by Foundation Scotland on behalf of Vattenfall.
