A proposed onshore wind farm in East Anglia
Where would the Redmere Wind Farm be located?
The proposed Redmere Wind Farm would be located on land to the north and south of Shippea Hill railway station, and to the west of Feltwell and Lakenheath villages. It would sit on the borders of King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, East Cambridgeshire District Council and West Suffolk Council.

Redmere - Expected Timeline
At what stage is the project?
The project has submitted a request for Scoping Opinion to the Planning Inspectorate. This follows early survey work, including seasonal surveys and feasibility work.
Once feedback on the proposed survey and assessment work has been received, work will progress on detailed technical assessment and environmental studies. This will inform detailed design work to develop a site layout, visualisations, transport and access proposals and plans for any mitigation and biodiversity plans.

As the projects are at an early stage of development, detailed design information is not yet available. However, we are keen to engage with local communities and stakeholders to introduce the projects and gather early feedback.

Chatteris Wind Farm
We are progressing another wind farm, known as Chatteris Wind Farm, approximately 20km to the west of the Redmere Wind Farm. These are two separate projects, applying for separate development consent orders. As they have similar project programs, we are engaging with communities about both projects because we understand that many residents will be interested in both projects.
