Corporate responsibility
“It is our task and our responsibility to work towards developing energy solutions that accord with sustainable development in society. It is not enough just to consider the environmental aspects of each individual energy solution. An energy system must contribute to sustainable development in society, not only from an environmental perspective, but also from social and economic perspectives. It must be able to meet today’s needs without jeopardising the ability for future generations to meet theirs.” Lars G Josefsson, CEO
Corporate social responsibility
People have views about Vattenfall and our operations. Listening and communicating are important tools in our work with social responsibility issues – and our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, “Expectations and Performance”, is a good example of our approach. We have selected some examples from the report below.
Expectations
Working with our stakeholders, we have identified a set of expectations that we face from the surrounding world. The CSR report departs from these expectations and tries to explain our approach to each and one of them. You will find information about our work on corporate social responsibility in our CSR report.
