Soil protection
We are working hard to limit soil contamination caused by our operations.
In recent years, we have identified a need to, and taken responsibility for, improving the quality of the land we manage.
Active soil protection programmes
In all countries where we operate, we have sites with contaminated ground. Most of this contaminated soil is a result of activities many years ago, fulfilling the environmental requirements of that time. Since then, the regulations have become stricter, and we are now taking active steps to improve these sites.
In the Nordic countries and Germany, all of these sites have been identified and categorised. We also carry out control programmes.
In Poland, we have identified contaminated sites and started inventory work.
