Vattenfall evaluates and keeps track of the main suppliers through our supplier qualification system Vattenfall Supplier Bank (VSB). VSB is provided by our service provider Achilles and contains level 1 qualification, Sellihca, Connexio and UVDB. The reason for using VSB is to continuously have updated information on our suppliers, simplify our procurement process and to ensure that suppliers meet our basic requirements.

What exact steps the qualification process will entail depends on your company’s spend level and/or risk profile of the products and services your company wishes to supply to Vattenfall. The entered company information will be analysed and validated by Vattenfall in cooperation with Achilles.

Minimum requirements for Vattenfall Suppliers

All Vattenfall suppliers should agree to the 10 principles set out in the UN Global Compact, as described at http://www.unglobalcompact.org/ and to follow the recommendations in Vattenfall’s Code of Conduct for suppliers (Please see link to the right on this page).

• Vattenfall’s suppliers are to provide financial information, at least turnover and pre-tax-profit from the last reported year
• Vattenfall’s suppliers are up-to-date with tax payments and the annual reports / tax declarations are sent in time to the responsible authorities and the company is not in any guardianship or have any other severe statutory issues
• Suppliers who deliver services to the Swedish Nuclear Power Plants also have to complete the questionnaire designed for that purpose in Sellihca.
