A number of key priorities were highlighted to the project team during the development of the wind farm layout. As well as minimizing impacts on the environment and local area, a number of opportunities were shared with the team about the opportunities that the local community would like to see the project create, particularly:

- Making sure the project generates employment - directly through the project and through the community investment
- Protecting and enhancing the natural environment through the project and investment
- Investing in the needs of local communities – particularly creating opportunities for young people, tourism, jobs, and improving local towns and facilities.

We will now be focusing on these priorities and working with local communities and organisations to see how these opportunities can best be developed. Vattenfall has already committed to securing community investment currently worth around £750,000 annually to the area.
