Pen y Cymoedd Wind Energy Project
Project Background
In April 2008 following a tender process run by Forestry Commission Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government, Vattenfall, (then Nuon Renewables) was chosen as the preferred developer to look at developing a wind energy project on an area of goverment land in South Wales.
The proposed development is for 84 turbines on a large area of land in South Wales. The project is currently awaiting the determination of the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change.
