About the project
Clashindarroch II will be located in Aberdeenshire. Following a confirmed final investment decision, preparation works have started ahead of main construction, which is expected to start in Spring 2026.
Once operational, the project’s 14 turbines are expected to generate electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of around 61,566 UK homes, based on RenewableUK’s ‘Homes powered equivalent’ methodology.

Clashindarroch II is Vattenfall's first onshore wind farm to be built with low emission steel turbine towers, reducing the carbon emissions of their manufacture by around 36%.
